Slide Analysis Essay Question:
For each work shown, you will give as complete of an identification as possible (name and period). Then, in a brief essay, discuss the art historical significance of the monument illustrated. Consider, where appropriate, questions of style, subject matter/iconography, function, context, and how these aspects relate to one another. Be sure you have in your answer indicated what the object illustrated tells us about the culture that produced it.

The Medici Conspiracy: The Illicit Journey of Looted Antiquities--From Italy's Tomb Raiders to the World's Greatest Museums by Peter Watson and Cecilia Todeschini (dense but a really great investigation of the topic!)
